TESTIMONIALS
KATE - VICE PRESIDENT, HR, BANKING
I have had four sessions with Kay over a period of a few months and have found them invaluable. The overall impact of the coaching has improved my confidence and impact. I have gone from being terrified at the thought of presenting to a large group of people and feeling a little insecure and shaky in smaller meetings, to being able to deliver a 20 minute presentation (eloquently) to 60+ people and having a significant impact at smaller meetings. My Manager has noticed a difference in me and I have received positive feedback since the Coaching.Kay's style of Coaching is trusting and supportive and she has created tremendous rapport with me over the sessions. I have found that she is able to support me towards solutions and options that I find and asks the right pertinent questions to ensure we delve deeper into the issues and options. Kay has also challenged me to think beyond the obvious and has created a structure and commitment for me to take the actions forward. I would highly recommend Kay as a Coach and look forward to the opportunity of working with her again.
CHRIS - IT CONSULTANT
I attended a series of coaching sessions with Kay after I was made redundant from a company where I had worked for 11 years. I found the coaching extremely productive in the following areas:-
1. Goal setting - this helped me to focus on what I wanted to achieve and enabled me to monitor progress towards these goals.
2. Identification of key competencies - this enabled me to have confidence in my strengths and to be aware of what I need to do in order to improve my self-scoring in each one.
3. Assessment of my CV - Kay helped me to critically review my CV in order to be in a position to tailor the document according to particular roles.
4. Interview preparation - Kay provided coaching in interview techniques and provided some sample questions. This was really useful as I had not been interviewed for many years.
ANNETTE - HOME-MAKER
To spend an hour on 'me' was therapeutic in itself - a break from the present to focus on the present. It was helpful to break down the areas of my life on which to focus. By paying attention, piece by piece, with Kay's gentle encouragement and steering, I learned how each area of focus could be bettered, why they were important and how to reach my goals.Kay was professional, sincere and kind. A warm, light and comfortable environment was provided for the coaching sessions. I am grateful for her time and wish her well in this endeavour.
MIKE, UK STRATEGIC & PRE-TACTICAL MANAGER, NATS
Kay has helped me identify and implement strategies to improve several aspects of my 'career life'. I am now able to write and submit meeting reports in a much more structured, goal-oriented way, which has had a beneficial impact upon my work productivity and reduced my level of frustration. My preparation for a recent job interview was much more structured thanks to Kay's guidance and this allowed me to approach the interview in a much more relaxed and confident manner.Kay's assessment of my gym/fitness pholosophy has enabled me to highlight how to ensure I remain motivated whilst achieving my fitness goals and this has given me renewed enthusiasm.
Kay's approach to my coaching has been highly professional. She has worked through each of my goals methodically, which has enabled me to reach appropriate and satisfactory conclusions. This has allowed me to better understand my own 'inner workings' and will allow me in future to apply the lessons learnt during coaching to a wide variety of other challenges which lie ahead.
EMMA - HR MANAGER
My sessions with Kay have enabled me to complete a project that I have previously struggled to get started on. She allowed me to openly discuss obstacles about the situation and to find solutions and strategies for them.Kay has a gentle and supportive approach that helped me to be extremely honest with myself about the situation.
MARTIN - MARCOMMS CONSULTANT/PRODUCER, CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
I found my coaching sessions with Kay to be of great value and importance. Having objective input from Kay led me into the required 'next stage thinking', often finding answers or solutions myself. It was the steering of thoughts, plus the directive to set time frames for goal achievement, that was of great benefit. Gently nurturing and encouraging a next step commitment was invaluable and helpful. Often, I would feel that the sessions untangled many ideas, allowing for clarity. Coaching sessions in themselves were milestones by which to deliver action points - a great way to monitor progress. To speak with a supportive coach within an encouraging atmosphere, has been of great value at a fairly complicated time of change. Working with Kay has been most beneficial.JO - TEAM MANAGER, THE COLLEGE OF LAW
Kay has helped me a great deal by coaching me, more than I ever imagined when I first embarked on the coaching process. We had four coaching sessions overall and we covered quite a bit of ground, inlcuding dealing with learning to say 'no' to requests for help/work, ways to reduce the impact of 'on the spur of the moment' enquiries and 'energy drains'.Kay helped me not only identify what was the root cause of some of my issues. She also enabled me to think through the issues and come up with realistic, achievable solutions, which I was able to implement very quickly and which very quickly had an impact.
Two months on, I am much calmer at work and more able to see clearly what I need to tackle in order to keep my stress levels under control. I would certainly recommend Kay as a coach to others. She has a very calming yet challenging style that enabled me to really think about the issues that were affecting me.
MARK - NETWORK SPECIALIST, NATS
The opportunity to work with Kay through careers coaching came at a very fortuitous time for me in my career. I was facing a number of difficult decisions at work, including whether to take a voluntary redundancy package. With Kay's help, I tackled a number of work/life related issues and she assisted me in working through the decision making process regarding my future at NATS. As a result, I am now happier and more settled in my future plans. Together we have identified positive goals to work towards that will improve my motivation and enjoyment of my job and also provide personal satisfaction and fulfilment. I have already been able to these plans into action.
Kay has also been instrumental in tackling negative thought patterns that I had built up regarding career and work/life balance. Throughout the coaching sessions, Kay was very professional, patient, helpful and informative and I can thoroughly recommend her qualities as a Careers Coach.
CAROL - CAREERS ADVISOR
I have found my coaching sessions with Kay to be extremely supportive. They have enabled me to focus clearly on the issues concerned, develop a clear goal and devise a strategy, which I am implementing, to move forward towards this goal (which relates to a work issue). Kay is thoughtful and considered in her approach and her preliminary material explaining the coaching experience is clear and well written. She creates a 'safe' environment in which to communicate and adheres to the coaching ethos of the client having the capacity, with coaching support, to devise their own way forward. However, she is also able to provide valuable input when appropriate, always seeking permission from the client before doing so. I would strongly recommend Kay as a coach to anyone experiencing problems in moving forward in their lives.© All rights reserved Kay Pearson, 2010
